Just because you are skinny doesn’t mean you can afford to skip the exercise, new studies reveal. Researchers in the UK have found that the levels of heart-clogging LDL cholesterol in both slim and obese people, who did not exercise, were very similar.
So as well as eating a low fat diet and avoiding saturated fats follow the Heart Foundation advice and work out for half an hour a day at least at a moderate intensity on an ongoing basis. Studies also show that exercise needs to be maintained for a minimum of four months before it affects cholesterol levels.
